I've been working out on a near-daily basis, mostly weight lifting paired with a protein shake. It's been awesome, because I already feel better about my body, but I'm so sore. A deeper pain, not like burning muscles after a good workout, but down to the bones, especially in my lower back (which has always been weak). So today I'm taking a break, and will start up again tomorrow. The little extra on my hips that made me work out again in the first place is gone now, after only like four days of careful eating and doing squats. I guess I shouldn't get used to quick weight loss, since my metabolism is probably getting worse as I type. Now I hope to fit into my grey jeans again without feeling uncomfortable, perhaps in a couple weeks.

The other day I bought three new dresses on a whim at Nordsrom Rack. They were all under $20, and they were lovely, so I splurged. I decided to pay off all my credit card debt despite the hit to my savings account, so I feel a bit better about putting things on the card. Perhaps I'll model them at some point soon and post pictures, and I think I want to wear one of them to work tomorrow. I don't think I've ever posted a picture of myself on here, come to think of it.

I don't know how I'm going to get up at 7am to get to work tomorrow. I've been going to bed around 2-3am, and getting up around 1pm. For whatever reason, I function best on somewhere around 10+ hours of sleep, and the boredom of the past two weeks probably hasn't helped. I guess I'll try to be in bed around midnight, reading if not trying to actually sleep. Perhaps do yoga to relax and then throw myself straight into bed -- I always end up wanting to stay on the floor indefinitely.

So I'm going to spend the rest of the day playing Deus Ex, reading Murakami, watching Switched At Birth or Revenge, and signing.

I love Switched at Birth AND Revenge! I download them and marathon each season as it comes out. I hate waiting week to week :P

That's good about the weight loss. I'm glad you're happy with your progress thus far. I find weight loss is so hard. I just don't have the discipline or proper motivation at this point for it. I applaud you for both of those qualities.

Pictures are always a good thing.

I'm still on season 2 of Revenge, just past the point where a certain important someone died, so I was pretty much crying through two episodes last night. Do you watch Pretty Little Liars, by any chance? If so, I'll be happy to be able to rant with someone about it! I hate waiting week to week as well, but when I know a new episode is out I have trouble waiting, and PLL is going to be one of those. I also kinda like having something to look forward to each week, especially while school is in full swing. It's a nice little break.

I think the trick for me and working out is not to give myself much of a break. Because if I don't do SOMETHING each day, I'll get lazy quickly and give up after like a week. So one day I'll do upper body, next day lower body, next day core (or rest, depending on what my abs feel like). And I've found cardio is worthless, so I only do lifting anymore. Burns more calories at rest and results you can SEE are faster. :)

I used to watch PLL but I stopped because I found it so ridiculous. I disliked how it was going and couldn't take it anymore. Last one I watched was when... oh crap, what was her name... Committed herself to the psych ward and agreed to become part of the A team :/

Interesting that you find cardio worthless. I'd think it would be good. I'd like to get some cardio back, I feel so lazy these days. I like how you seem to have a plan that works for you :) Excellent! :)

Sometimes I'm amazed I got as far as I did in PLL, because it definitely gets ridiculous and repetitive, and I don't know how on earth they hold up so well emotionally, but it gets SO. GOOD. The "real" A reveal was fantastic, and now I'm a legit fan of the show.

Who ended up being the "real" A? I'm curious. Heh!

All signs are pointing to Ezra, and Alison is alive. I suspected Ezra in the very beginning, but then three seasons went by and there was never anything that made him suspect except for the fact that no one ever considered it was him. The girls have no clue, except Alison of course, so I think this next season is going to be very tension filled.

Which Murakami book are you reading now? I still have to read 1Q84 but haven't started with it yet, that would be next:)

Norwegian Wood. It's the first of his I've read and I like it quite a bit so far. I keep seeing IQ84 around and want to pick it up, but I haven't had a lot of time to read lately, unfortunately.
